Frequently Asked Questions
Below we answer the questions most frequently asked by students and their families. Do you want us to answer any other questions? Write to us!
Is UDIT a private university?
Yes, it is a private university.
Last February 17, 2022 the Assembly of Madrid approved the law of creation of our University. Formerly known as ESNE, it has become UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, a solid university training project endorsed by both public bodies and leading companies in the Creative Industries.
Are academic degrees official?
Yes, UDIT’s degrees are official university studies adapted to the European Higher Education Area agreed after the Bologna Plan. We offer bachelor’s, master’s and higher education degrees.
The degree courses are structured in four courses of 60 ECTS each, which will total 240 ETCS at the end of the studies.
These official studies give access to official postgraduate degrees as well as the possibility of taking competitive examinations.
What is the admission process to our private university in Madrid?
The admission tests to the UDIT University Degrees consist of:
- Creative aptitude test (artistic drawing) Depends on the degree.
- Specific knowledge test based on a video.
- English test.
If you are interested in the bilingual mode (available in the Interior Design, Multimedia and Graphic Design and Fashion Management and Communication Degrees) you will have to, in addition to the above, prove a minimum level of B2 and complete and pass a personal interview in English with the Bachelor’s Coordination.
The admission test for UDIT’s Master’s Degrees consists of an interview with the director of the postgraduate program.
How much does it cost to study at our private university in Madrid?
The price of our studies depends on the type of degree. Depending on whether it is a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Vocational Training degree, the cost varies.
Fees are divided in two. Tuition (which includes the reservation of a place and is paid before the beginning of the course) and Teaching (paid monthly during the academic year and depends on the number of credits enrolled).
To know the current price of our degrees visit the Fees, scholarships and financing section.
Will I be able to use the main design or programming software during my training at UDIT?
All computer equipment on campus has official licenses for the main software you need to learn for your training, such as Adobe, Autodesk, Unity, etc. In addition, from the 2025-26 academic year, all UDIT students will have an Adobe Creative Cloud license that can be used on any device, inside or outside the University.
What types of academic programs does UDIT offer?
We offer Official Degree programs, CFGS, Official Masters and our own degrees, all with a global and practical approach, aligned with the demands of today’s labor market.
Does the private university UDIT offer internships?
Yes, in the third year the mandatory internships in companies begin. They are part of the degree syllabus and are equivalent to about 360 hours of internships.
UDIT always ensures that its students carry out their internships in recognized companies in the sector. And, although the mandatory internships begin in the third year, from the first year the student will be able to carry out work and projects within the programs that UDIT has with different companies.
Does this private university have an Erasmus program?
Yes, if you are an undergraduate student at UDIT and you are interested in doing an exchange, find out more here.
Since 2017 UDIT belongs to the Cumulus Association network of Universities and Schools of Art and Design, composed of 257 members from 54 countries, among which stand out referential institutions such as the Royal College of Art in London, Savannah College of Art and Design in New York, Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Finland, or the Politecnico di Milano. Our agreements with several of these and other institutions favor the creation of opportunities for both students and professors, and the UDIT community in general.
Is there a cut-off mark at the private university UDIT?
No, UDIT does not require a cut-off mark for admission. Due to the specificity of the degrees, potential students must take their own specific admission tests.
However, if your access route to official degree studies is the EvAU, it is necessary to have it approved by law.
