In 2023 ESNE has become the University of Design and Technology (UDIT), a solid university training project endorsed by both public bodies and the main companies in the Creative Industries.

The change from School to University means being able to offer you a better service, autonomy in the launching of new degrees and the continuous improvement of the existing ones. All this in order to assume our mission: to offer you the maximum excellence and preparation so that your time at the University will make you a recognised professional to lead in the world to come.

UDIT will offer official degrees in three of the five main branches of knowledge: Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences and Engineering and Architecture. We are dedicated to building a community of professionals who will define, reinvent and drive the new economy that will backbone society through value creation.

We are committed to continuing to be an institution open to the world and with an outstanding international presence. We are members of the Cumulus Association, the umbrella organisation for the most important design schools. Thanks to agreements with universities all over the world and the Erasmus exchange programmes, our students can study at another university while living in a completely different cultural environment, something that greatly enriches their careers.

UDIT is the largest specialized campus in Design and Technology in Spain. With over 13,000 m2 of cutting-edge facilities aimed at enhancing the creativity of its more than 2,000 students.

05. STATE-OF-THE-ART PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT

The UDIT Campus, located in the heart of Madrid, is equipped with the latest technological equipment used in major companies. It includes Wacom Cintiq classrooms, computer laboratories with advanced technology, dressmaking and pattern-making workshops equipped with the only Shima Seiki machine in a university in Spain, and more.

06. UNIQUE FACILITIES

UDIT has unique facilities, such as two Fab-Labs (Digital Fabrication Laboratories) internationally accredited by the Fab Foundation of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). These revolutionary technological spaces are equipped with digital fabrication machinery for innovation in product design, fashion, interior design, graphic design, and robotics. The Campus also houses a Materioteca, a physical and virtual material library where students can experiment and learn about the different properties of materials. Additionally, there is a multimedia laboratory equipped with professional digital video and photography cameras from Canon, Nikon, and JVC; lights and flashes, microphones and sound recorders, booms, chroma screens, tripods, video software, and more.

07. CONSTANT UPDATING OF OUR PROGRAMS

UDIT’s curriculum is continuously adapted to changes in the industry and technological paradigm, offering cutting-edge and up-to-date training aligned with reality.

08. DEVELOPMENT OF PERSONAL SKILLS

From the first year, students present and defend their work individually or in groups before a tribunal, both in English and Spanish. This prepares them to develop skills that will facilitate their entry into the job market.

09. MEMBER OF CUMULUS

UDIT is a member of Cumulus, the largest network of Universities and Design Schools in the world. It has agreements and partnerships with international universities to participate in the Erasmus program and bilateral agreements to facilitate student stays and international mobility of professors in universities worldwide. Additionally, students from different programs participate in workshops with students and professors from associated universities, with recent experiences in New York, Porto, London, Amsterdam, or Hong Kong.

Scholarships and study scholarships for ESNE students are an essential instrument of excellence and social cohesion for our Institution. It is a sign of identity of what the school wants to be and how it wants to collaborate with society.

They are annual in nature and limited in scope, depending on the academic and budgetary circumstances of each academic year.

ESNE offers official postgraduate degrees recognised by the Ministry of Education and therefore, all official scholarships for university studies are compatible.

Campus and facilities

UDIT is located in the Chamartín district of Madrid. Our campus has 13,000 square metres spread over three buildings. The facilities are completed by another building in the nearby Arturo Soria area, where UDIT’s vocational training centre is located.

The campus has theoretical and practical classrooms, as well as technological laboratories to be able to carry out any project. We have an auditorium with capacity for more than 350 people, a cafeteria with an outdoor terrace, a library and study areas. The campus is open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Students can use the facilities and have access to all the school’s resources.
