Vanessa García Guardia

Degree in Psychology and PhD in Audiovisual Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid. Master in Editorial Design by IED and Master in Challenging Branding by La Basad. She has extensive experience as a graphic designer working for clients such as Inditex, Blanco, Mango, Unesco and the Norman Foster Foundation, and in the publishing sector, in the magazines Vanidad, Marie Claire, Elle Decoration and Nuevo Estilo. She teaches Project Workshop I (corporate identity, signage and packaging) and TFG in the Multimedia and Graphic Design degree. Her areas of research focus on alternative aesthetic forms (the grotesque or the New Ugly movement) in visual communication, especially in graphic design and advertising photography. He has published several articles on the subject in specialised journals and has participated in international conferences.
