Dra. María Beltrán

Doctor of Architecture (2015) from San Pablo CEU University (Madrid) and Doctor of Urbanism (2021) from the University of Maryland (USA), receiving her thesis the “ARCC 2020-2021 King Medal for excellence in architectural and environmental research”. Graduated in Architecture from San Pablo CEU University, she studied abroad for a year at Aalto University in Helsinki (Finland). She later obtained a Msc. in Urban Planning and Design from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. He has been working as an architect since 2009, combining his MAT design studio with teaching and research in Spain and the United States. His scientific production and dissemination is, therefore, varied and covers different disciplines, such as sociology, design, architecture and planning. He has participated as a speaker at numerous international conferences and has published in international and Spanish journals in different fields. He has taught Projects and Design Thinking at San Pablo CEU University and the University of Maryland, and has collaborated in several European research projects on urban planning, social behaviour and sustainable mobility.
