Dra Mª Eugenia Blázquez

PhD in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and accredited by ANECA (Spanish National Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation) as a Contract Doctor. She extended her training with a scholarship at the Staadliche Akedemie der Künste in Karlsruhe, Germany, and as a researcher, she takes part in teaching innovation projects (INNOVA-Docencia UCM Programme). Her line of research is the value of cultural heritage in the pedagogy of university and secondary education. He has published specialised articles and participated as a speaker at international conferences. She has also taught at different universities, in Fine Arts (Universidad Francisco de Vitoria) and Graphic Design and Multimedia (Universidad Camilo José Cela), and has developed her professional and research experience in museology and cultural management as an event organiser, curator of exhibitions and management of public contemporary art collections at the CA2M, CEHOPU (Centro de Estudios Históricos, Obras Públicas y Urbanismo) and Fundación Juanelo Turriano. Her line of work focuses on the social function of art and its transmission through exhibitions.
As a visual artist she develops her project with the concept of memory as an important part of culture. She has exhibited since 1992 in venues such as the Cervantes Institute in Tangiers (Morocco), Sala El Brocense (Cáceres), Artissima Art Fair (Turin), Casa de España (Paris), CEART (Fuenlabrada), Centro español Juan de Salazar AECID (Paraguay), among others.
Co-founder of the creative studio El Cactus y el Móvil, where design is created through contemporary art, and Artistic Director of the creative studio WÄICREACIONES, disseminating culture in all its manifestations. It is a space for dialogue between contemporary artists and urban art, with other disciplines of knowledge, such as literature, journalism or science, among others.
