David Despau is a Spanish illustrator based in Madrid with a degree in Fine Arts, specialising in Design. Throughout his professional career he has worked in the world of design and advertising. In addition to freelance illustrator, he has been art director and creative director of several digital advertising agencies in Spain. His clients include many of the best-known brands in the market and his work has been published in prestigious international magazines such as Time, New Yorker and DC Comics. Recognised by Taschen as one of the most influential illustrators in the world, his work has also been published in books such as: Illustration Now by Taschen (where he created the cover of issue 3 of the series), The New Age of Feminine Drawing by Allrightreserved, Illusive 3 by Gestalten, 200 Best Illustrators by Luezers Archive or Portraits by Taschen.
