Alberto Pérez Rodríguez is a technical computer engineer from the University of Oviedo and graduated in video game creation and development from the Camilo José Cela University in Madrid. With nearly 10 years of experience in the industry, since his first steps in the video game industry his career has been linked to design and production, managing different human groups to carry out several national and international award-winning projects, even working hand in hand with the Government of Malta in the design of a video game for kindergarten students in schools in that country to learn piano. (“Playing with Spike”) In his first stage as a designer and producer at WhootGames, he managed to publish 7 games on different platforms, highlighting Random Fighters, with more than 500,000 downloads on Google’s Play Store, and Castles, a finalist game in the Playstation Awards and winner of the 2016 National Indie Burger Award for “most addictive game of the year”. He is currently working at Mercury Steam, one of the most internationally recognized Spanish videogame companies, in his position as Designer in the f2p online videogame “Spacelords”.
His subject is “Advanced 3D: characters and scenarios”, which he shares with two other teachers, although he teaches a part of the subject focused on the design of social and multiplayer games.
