PhD with Cum Laude Qualification with her thesis: “Encounters between architecture and fashion and clothing design (1982- 2010): spaces, agents and mechanisms of dialogue and interaction from curatorial devices to fertilization and a degree in History and Theory of Art from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). Ana Llorente began her work in university teaching by teaching subjects such as “Practical Seminar in Visual Studies of Fashion” (Degree in Art History, UAM). Since 2015 she has been teaching “History of Costume” and seminars “History of Fashion Photography” and “Fashion Designers XXth Century” (Diploma in Fashion Communication and Management at Centro Universitario Villanueva/UCM). Editor since 2017 of the magazine Visión Doble of the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras, she has participated in the research project “El Sistema del Arte en España: 1975-2005” (2008-2010; UAM). Recipient of grants from the Programa Inicio de Estudios de Posgrado (2006-2008; UAM) and Formación del Profesorado Universitario (2008-2012)FPU), her research has been developed in institutions such as Victoria & Albert Museum (2009), Royal College of Art in London (2010), Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris (2011). Her work has been disseminated at meetings such as Global Fashion Conference (Stockholm University, 2016), Association of Art Historians 40th Annual Conference (RCA, London, 2014), International Symposium “Is There (Anti-)Neoliberal Architecture?” (Graz University of Technology, 2011) or Postgraduate Seminar on “Fashion and Textiles” (RCA, 2010). She currently teaches History of Art and Clothing.
