WE ARE AN ACCREDITED CENTER

You will have the opportunity to become certified as an expert with Solidworks, both in the basic CSWA-Academic certification and in the advanced CSWP certification, mastering one of the leading 2D and 3D mechanical modeling software .

 

Our Fab Lab, Digital Fabrication Laboratory, was internationally approved and included in the Fab Foundation’s Fab Labs network, an organization that was born at M.I.T (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and currently has more than 1,000 digital fabrication laboratories around the world.

 

You will begin by learning techniques for the stimulation of creativity and you will deepen your knowledge of manual and digital drawing. You will learn the socio-cultural, aesthetic, artistic and project methodology factors for the best decision making. You will work with professional software on real projects in packaging, light vehicle and household items.

Basic technical aspects (mechanics, kinematics, energy, ) materials and three-dimensional representation of objects for their design and development are addressed. You will learn user-centered design, its psychological aspects, as well as the application of ergonomics and accessibility. You will work on real design projects in areas such as furniture, lighting and accessories.

You will delve into the science of materials and their importance to the viability of ideas. You will work on mock-ups and prototypes, as well as basic analysis of electronics, mechanical and structural design, and Quality Management and Environmental Management systems. You will work on real projects of footwear design, consumer electronics, air, water or land transportation.

You will study all the impacts of marketing, communication, serial production management and interactive product design (sensors, motor programming), service design and robotics.

You will be able to complement your university education with our specialized training in Artificial Intelligence, the technology that is revolutionizing the creative industry.

UDIT offers four degrees, from the most basic to the most advanced, in Artificial Intelligence that you can study while pursuing your degree.

Each of them is composed of two subjects of 6 ECTS each, to be taught throughout the academic year, one in the first semester and the other in the second semester. Sou can only take one degree per academic year.

If you decide to pursue all four degrees you will be able to acquire a University Diploma Specialist in Artificial Intelligence.

If you come from the Spanish educational system, you must meet at least one of the following requirements to study this degree at UDIT:

  • To have passed the University Entrance Exam (EVAU) with a grade of APTO.
  • Students coming from a Higher Level Training Cycle or FP II.
  • Students entering from completed Spanish university studies.
  • Students accessing through the University Entrance Examination for those over 25 years of age, for those over 40 years of age and for those over 45 years of age.

Students from educational systems outside Spain:

  • Students from pre-university education systems of European Union member states and countries with reciprocity agreements.
  • Students in possession of the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
  • Students from foreign pre-university education systems.
  • Students with foreign university studies who access through homologation of their studies.
  • Students with official foreign university studies completed or not yet completed, who gain access through official validation.

Yes, all degrees offered at UDIT are official and internationally recognized.

You must be careful with other degrees offered in the market as “Official Degrees” that in reality are not.
To check if a degree is official, you should consult the website of the RUCT (Registro de Universidades, Centros y Títulos), an official body belonging to the Ministry of Universities that oversees academic organization and university officialdom.

The first step is to request information, you can do it through the web, by phone at 91 555 25 28 or by email: orientación.universitaria@udit.es.

The next step is to perform the level test, whose objective is to know the student’s academic competencies, allowing the detection of reinforcement actions before the beginning of the course.

Once you have taken the test and have been notified of your admission to UDIT, make a registration reservation to guarantee your place for the next course.
Places are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

All our Degrees start from scratch, so it is not necessary to take a specific type of baccalaureate. Even so, if you have any doubts, you can consult this article for more information.

It is true that due to the typology of our degrees, it is usually recommended to take a bachelor’s degree in arts or science and technology.

The entrance test aims to better understand the profile of the future student precisely to be able to offer personalized attention and, if necessary, to reinforce any previous skills such as artistic drawing.

Under no circumstances should you be concerned about your previous training when it comes to getting the most out of our careers.

What bachelor’s degree do you need to study Product Design?

Of course, by offering you an official degree, you can apply for all public scholarships for this type of degree.
In addition, official scholarships are compatible with our internal study grants. If you have a good academic record or if creativity is part of your DNA, do not hesitate to apply for all of them.

In product design, students learn to:

  • Create and develop products that solve specific problems.
  • Innovate in materials and processes to improve sustainability and efficiency.
  • Design prototypes using advanced tools such as 3D printing and CAD software.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to take a product from initial idea to market.

Product designers are responsible for the entire product life cycle, from initial research and conceptualization to detailed design and final production. This includes:

  1. Market and user research: Understanding user needs and wants to create products that are truly useful.
  2. Ideation and sketching: Generate ideas and visualize them through sketches and models.
  3. Prototyping and testing: Create prototypes and perform tests to evaluate the functionality and aesthetics of the product.
  4. Production and launching: Supervise the manufacturing of the product and prepare its launching to the market.

The Product Design Degree at UDIT lasts four years. During this time, students:

  • They complete theoretical and practical subjects.
  • They carry out real projects in collaboration with companies.
  • They participate in international exchange programs and professional internships.

The curriculum is designed to offer a comprehensive education, which includes:

  • Fundamentals of design: Basic courses covering design theory, art and design history, and technical skills.
  • Advanced design: Specialized classes in product design, ergonomics, materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Internships: Opportunities to work in companies in the sector and apply knowledge in real projects.
  • Final Degree Project (TFG): A final project that demonstrates the student’s ability to design and develop a complete product.

To become a product designer, it is essential to acquire a solid and multidisciplinary training that covers various areas of knowledge. In our Degree in Product Design, we offer you an innovative and practical curriculum that includes:

  • Technology and materials: Learn about the different materials and manufacturing technologies to create functional and sustainable products.

You will learn and master: Autodesk Fusion 360, Rhinoceros, Alias, Grasshopper, Autodesk Suite, Processing, Microsoft Office, Scratch 4 Arduino, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Figma,Vray, Solidedge, Solidworks, Keyshot, Arduino IDE.

Adobe programs are installed on the computers enabled for this purpose in the classrooms. Starting in the 2025-26 academic year, all UDIT students will have an Adobe Creative Cloud license that can be used on any device, inside or outside the University.
