FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Below we answer the questions most frequently asked by students and their families.

  • Yes, it is a private university.

On 17 February 2022, the Assembly of Madrid approved the law creating our University. Formerly known as ESNE, it has become UDIT, University of Design, Innovation and Technology, a solid university education project backed by both public bodies and leading companies in the Creative Industries.

  • Yes, UDIT degrees are official university studies adapted to the European Higher Education Area agreed after the Bologna Plan. We offer bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and higher education training cycles.

The bachelor's degrees are structured in four courses of 60 ECTS each, which at the end of the studies will total 240 ECTS.

These official studies give access to official postgraduate courses as well as the possibility of taking competitive examinations.

  • The admission tests to the UDIT University Degrees consist of the following:

    • Creative aptitude test (artistic drawing) Depending on the degree.
    • Test of specific knowledge based on a video.
    • English test.

If you are interested in the bilingual mode (available in the Interior Design, Multimedia and Graphic Design and Fashion Management and Communication Degrees) you will have to, in addition to the above, accredit a minimum level of B2 and carry out and pass a personal interview in English with the Bachelor's Coordination.

The admission test for UDIT's Master's Degrees consists of an interview with the director of the postgraduate course.

  • The price of our courses depends on the type of qualification. Depending on whether it is a Bachelor's, Master's or Vocational Training degree, the cost varies.

The fees are divided into two. Enrolment (which includes the reservation of a place and is paid before the start of the course) and Teaching (which is paid monthly during the academic year and depends on the number of credits enrolled).

To find out the current price of our degrees visit the section on Fees, grants and financing.

  • All the computer equipment on campus has official licences for the main software you need to learn for your training, such as Adobe, Autodesk, Unity, etc. In addition, from the 2025-26 academic year, all UDIT students will have an Adobe Creative Cloud licence that they can use on any device, inside or outside the University.

  • We offer Official Degree programmes, CFGS, Official Masters and our own degrees, all with a global and practical focus, aligned with the demands of today's labour market.

  • Yes, in the third year the compulsory internships in companies begin. This is part of the degree syllabus and is equivalent to around 360 hours of work experience.

UDIT always tries to ensure that its students do their internships in recognised companies in the sector. And, although the compulsory internships begin in the third year, from the first year students will be able to carry out work and projects within the programmes that UDIT has with different companies.

  • Yes, if you are an undergraduate student at UDIT and you are interested in doing an exchange, find out more here.

Since 2017 UDIT belongs to the Cumulus Association network of Universities and Schools of Art and Design, made up of 257 members from 54 countries, among which we can highlight institutions such as the Royal College of Art in London, Savannah College of Art and Design in New York, Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Finland, or the Politecnico di Milano. Our agreements with several of these and other institutions favour the creation of opportunities for both students and teachers, and the UDIT community in general.

  • No, UDIT does not require a cut-off mark for admission. Due to the specificity of the degrees, potential students must take their own specific admission tests.

However, if your admission route to official degree studies is the EvAU, it is necessary to have passed it by law.
