Dra. María Antón-Barco

PhD in Architecture from the San Pablo CEU University of Madrid and winner of the Ángel Herrera Award for the best academic record in 2007. She began her career at ESNE in the 2015-16 academic year as Director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, management that she makes compatible with teaching in Design of Public Spaces, Art History II, Interior Design Theory and Aesthetics and Sociology and Habitability. He is developing his doctoral thesis with research stays at MIT (USA) and The Warburg Institute (UK). Teacher and lecturer in different universities, his first experiences as a teacher were at the Politecnico di Milano, in the Master in Urban Interior Design. His research career combines an interest in urban design, with participation in several projects funded by national research plans, with an interest in housing, which led him to participate in the first edition of Solar Decathlon Europe or in the VEM Project – Military Emergency Housing, with the Rebirth Inhabit Research Group, funded by Airbus Defence & Space, in professional practice since 2008, his projects have been published by the prestigious Actar or Design Observer.
